Hi Fuchsia,

I think Thai people would love WWRY if they had some more exposure to it. My wife and I are really trying to support the arts in Thailand in the hope that more things will come here. Sadly though ticket prices are still well beyond the reach of most middle-class Thais, especially if they bring their partner and or children.

This is a real shame because I really think that if Thais could experience just one theatrical event then they’d realize how fun it it and plan to see more.

We steered away from seeing Cats in Thailand. I’d seen it before and didn’t think my wife would appreciate it. Apparently her Thai friends did go and were disappointed that there was no subtitles / translations. Without that you’re really just watching a group of leotard-clad men and women bounce around a stage.

UOB is a bad bank, do not use them even for a savings account, they lie and discriminate…governments should protect people from such crook banks and close them down!!!

Hi Martin,

I went see ‘We Will Rock You’ in Hong Kong. Every day the seats were almost full there. I’m glad to read this blog. No wonder there is a few info about WWRY on the websites, news, magazine and so on. Do you think the Thai people don’t like WWRY or Musical or Rock Music?
I think it’s a kind of musical which whithout subtitles needed. Too sad to hear that. Thanks!

I have just returned from this beautiful island totally disappointed. It should go under the name Koh Rip-off. At four grand per night the least you could expect is a menu. For breakfast we were given “yesterdays left-over rice in fishy water” and you are not permitted to bring food to the island so you take what you are given! We were not given the bungalow as promised but a shack attached to a dorm although we were obliged to pay for the bungalow. None of the 21 who were there at the time were satisfied with the service. For the money there are many places which offer much more. Yes, the sand and sea are nice but that is all you get!

hi martin… just like shyn im looking for information about koh mun nork… my fiance and i decided to get married in Thailand — and im looking for a nice quiet private not so expensive place to hold a very simple beach wedding…

your pictures are great!

im working and living in Bangkok so i somehow know the loops around but never really went into that island

if you have other infos about this island to share with me… please do let me know… is there really one hotel in there?
