A full day in London
We escaped the alcohol-induced wrath of Barry and Dan’s hangovers to spend our last full day in London.
Our journey from Milton Keynes was in the 1st class compartments of the new Virgin Trains so we enjoyed feeling like we were important for about an hour.
It was a shame in many ways that this one day was the only day we could possibly get to meet the rat-racers of London whom I’d have liked to catch up with although in all honesty this holiday wasn’t really one where I wanted to rush all over the country saying my hellos.
I’ve not navigated around central London for over 4 years and was very embarassed to discover that I couldn’t actually locate Leicester Square. We did successfully get to spend time shopping, eating and relaxing around Covent Gardens though and got to very quickly squeeze in a meeting with Jeffry and with Elisa - albeit a very brief meeting over coffee in a Golders Green Starbucks.
It would have been great had we had the time to spend longer with Jeffry and I really regret not meeting Elisa during the previous Friday as I neglecte the fact that she was on holiday then. I missed out on opening Tik’s eyes to the world of Anne Summers but I’m sure it won’t be long before we return once more.
