Future Business Plans April 1, 2006
Posted by Martin in : Business, Computers, Websites , trackbackI get spurts of creativity all the time and act on impulse on most of them. Most ideas are half-baked and never really rise. I generally get as far as stirring the ingredients but I’m quite comfortable with the way things are progressing.
Last month I conducted a feasibility study to get an apple Macintosh application created to emulate the fantastic AI Roboform program for Windows but decided that the necessity of making regular updates would be more effort than I’m prepared to make.
I looked into creating a website to detail investment opportunities, news and strategies but this really is nothing new and would also take a huge amount of my time to update. I no longer feel comfortable making high-risk high-potential opportunities to people who are in a very different financial position to me. If they plough too much of their savings into just one or two companies which dies or underperforms I know I’ll feel guilty.
My personal investment pool seems to be the way forward. I have achieved my quota of investors for last month and am using their funds to diversify my own portfolio. I actually have a waiting list of people keen to invest too. I’m keeping growth slow until I have more of my own personal money in secure investments so that I can honor requests if people wish to withdraw their principle.
I am choosing to relax for the next few weeks whilst Lisa is holidaying with us but I am keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll be able to attend a course in Bangkok at the end of April. The course is a 2-day options trading course, taught by an Englishman. I am keen to learn more about options trading, forex trading and anything else I can study so that I’m able to build a portfolio of skills I can use when I am traveling to make money. I’m not planning on risking other peoples money to gamble with as I learn the fundamentals but my medium-term goal is to be in a position o take more responsibility over generating money than merely selecting companies to invest in.
I have recently received an expensive CD-ROM containing over 35 e-books about offshore investments, tax-planning and finance which I plan to convert into books and work my way through.
