Life’s getting Cheaper October 6, 2005
Posted by Martin in : Thailand , trackbackSince I returned from England I’ve been trying to budget my daily food spending to just 200 baht a day (just over 3 pounds). I’m amazed how easy this has been to do without me compromising on my way of life.
Breakfast I tend to have fresh fruit juice.
I can go to either a Japanese restaurant for lunch to have a huge bowl of soup and gyoza for 120 baht.
I could go to a cafe to get a sizzling steak set with miso soup, vegetables, rice and salad for 80 baht.
or I could grab something from one of the many Thai stalls in the village for ust 30 baht.
In the evenings my favourite cafe has a 50% discount and I’ve just come back from having a ceasar salad, a waffle and a prawn sandwich for 60 baht.
Even my gym membership has ben reduced in price now. Ususally I pay 1,000 baht a month (15 pounds) for unlimited useage but its gone down to 700 baht seeing as I go before 3pm.
