Reflections on an Incredible Holiday
Our return flight was busier than the inward one but was comfortable nonetheless. Tik and I had the most perfect few weeks together, spending nearly all our time together without any problems whatsoever. I’ve never experienced such seamless compatibility before and we complement each other perfectly.
I was proud of Tik in how easily she fitted in to our family. Over the 3 week period she had been introduced to more members of my family that I’ve been in contact with for 4 years. We have a diverse family, to be eupheumistic, and I believe she made a wonderful impression on every person. Her confidence and her excellence of English made the three weeks a real pleasure for me as she needed no assistance doing anything. My plan was to be able to repay all the support she’d lavished on me in Thailand however it didn’t take me long to let her cope on her own.
Tik proved to me that she would have no problems whatsoever adapting to western life. Granted she’s not yet to experience a day of unbearable cold and darkness. She has however spent time with my mum in the pharmacy and I’m prepared to do all I can to return eventually to England with her and settle into life there for a few years.
We need to decide exactly the path we need to take to get us back comfortably to England although I’m certain that together we’ll overcome any obstacles within the coming 12 months.
